Shane Wissmann is a Principal and Senior Wealth Advisor at Allen Capital Group, where he has been helping individuals and families pursue their financial goals since joining the firm in 2018. He specializes in comprehensive wealth management, working closely with clients to design and implement customized strategies aligned with their unique circumstances. Shane is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and previously spent nearly 10 years as a financial advisor at a local bank. He earned his degree in business administration from Wayne State College, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in finance and economics and receiving the Outstanding Business Graduate award. Since 2021, Shane has also served as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Financial Planning, contributing to the evaluation of research and thought leadership within the profession.
Raised in the tight-knit community of Bertrand, Nebraska, Shane credits his upbringing with shaping his strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability. He and his wife, Leah, live in Grand Island with their two children and value the relationships they’ve built within the community. In his free time, Shane enjoys golf, Nebraska athletics, motorsports, and spending time with family and friends. He is actively involved locally, currently serving as Treasurer of the Grand Island Public SchoolsFoundation and a board member of the StuhrMuseum Foundation, and has previously served as Treasurer and Ethics Officer for Heartland United Way and President of the Grand Island Kiwanis Club.
